Book Ric for a Workshop
Workshop One: Networking for Introverts
Workshop Offerings
Networking is a dirty word. The caricature of bad networking conjures up images of an insincere backslapper trying to get something for themselves as fast as they can. This short-term strategy makes people feel used and almost never works. In contrast, the pillars of great networking are authenticity, reciprocity, and long-term relationships. Audiences will learn the three key rules of successful networking, and three additional tips to help introverts navigate social events and conversations with confidence.
Workshop Two: Mastering the Art of Leadership Communication
Seventy-five percent of people worldwide fear public speaking, according to Psychology Today, and 69% of managers are uncomfortable communicating with employees, according to Harvard Business Review. “Communication is the most important skill any leader can possess,” according to Richard Branson. In this engaging and practical workshop, audiences will learn: (a) how to communicate persuasively and memorably using a three-part storytelling framework, (b) how to disagree better without losing trust by applying a three-part L.A.W. communication framework, and (c) how leaders can use appropriate humor to create a climate of levity that builds trust, increases creativity and strengthens relationships.
Workshop Three: Persuasive Communication for Lawyers
Ric Keller was a trial attorney for over thirty years and a Member of Congress for eight years. He is currently a Professor of Practice at the University of Florida’s Hamilton School where he teaches civil discourse. The ability to communicate persuasively is the most important skill any lawyer can possess. In this practical and interactive workshop, lawyers will learn: (a) how to persuade judges and juries with candor and focus on common values, (b) how to communicate clearly and memorably by using a three-part storytelling framework, and (c) how to handle difficult conversations and take better depositions by applying a three-part L.A.W. communication framework.
